‘A Narration of a Funeral’ to participate at NFFTY

Iranian short film ‘A Narration of a Funeral’ has made its way to the National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY) in the United States.

According to Short Film News website, ‘A Narration of a Funeral’, written and directed by Amir Sedqi, will be screened in the 15th edition of NFFTY.

The film is about a woman named Tara who has received an unexpected phone call from the hospital after the funeral of her mother who has died from COVID-19.

The National Film Festival for Talented Youth is “the world’s largest film festival for emerging directors”, according to the event’s website.

The festival “advances and connects talented young filmmakers worldwide”, the website reads, adding “We ensure that emerging filmmakers are represented and given a platform to share their perspectives.”

The 15th edition of NFFTY will open in Seattle on April 28 and run until May 1.
